We had soup for dinner tonight with this bread we had never tried before.  It's called Quick and Easy Beer Bread from Be a Plant-Based Woman Warrior, p. 205.  The picture above shows a cut slice, and the picture below shows the whole loaf.  It isn't a yeast bread.  We used Foster's beer, and the bread was good.  I wonder what it would be like with a cheap-o beer.  The bread had a complex flavor.  It was dense and hearty.  It pairs well with a soup.  Overall, I would rate this bread a 5 out of 5.  It tastes much better than those healthy breads you can buy at the store.  It's easy and quick to make and has a short list of healthy ingredients.
