Breakfast today was Cowboy Casanova Breakfast Hash from plantyou, p.50, with Tempeh Bacon from plantyou, p.52.  The "bacon" isn't anything like bacon at all.  It doesn't taste like bacon.  It doesn't look like bacon.  It doesn't smell like bacon.  Hell, the only thing it has in common with bacon is that it is rectangular.  You might as well call fish sticks "bacon".  It's just as true and just as much a god damned balled-faced lie.  It tastes awful.  Rating:  1 out of 5.

The hash was better.  Megan left out some of the potatoes, so it may have been better still if she had made it properly.  The beans were good.  The peppers were OK.  The squash was weird.  Some of the flavors were strange, too.  With a lot of salsa, I was able to eat it, but it wasn't that great.  Rating:  3 out of 5.  It isn't something I would want to eat in its current form.
