Dinner tonight was Presto Pesto Penne from plantyou, p. 134 (above), with Crunchy Peanut Shredded Salad from plantyou, p. 122 (below).

The pasta was horrible!  Pesto?!?  I don't think so!  I love pesto, with its warm, rounded, subtle flavor; this had a sharp, bitter flavor that cut like a knife.  I would never eat this again.  Rating:  1 out of 5.

The salad was better, but barely so.  I didn't care for it either.  I would rate it a 2 out of 5.  Again, I didn't want to eat it and gave up quickly.  To make matters worse, they don't go together at all.  

I had high hopes for tonight's dinner, but it was a complete failure.
