For lunch today, we had Curry Hummus Sammy from Plantifully Lean, p. 106, and Smokehouse Steak Fries from Plantifully Lean, p.94. Megan kind of screwed up the steak fries, which is why I didn't get a picture. She used the wrong kind of potatoes and nuked them instead of boiling them, so I don't really count what we had as following the recipe. They were OK, but a bit mushy. The flavor of the steak fries was good. I would rate them a 3 out of 5 for the way she made them. If done following the directions, they might be a 4 or 5 out of 5.
The sammy was OK, but again, she didn't follow the directions. She forgot some of the ingredients she needed to buy, so she substituted a bunch of things, so it is hard to say how it would actually taste. As is, with the bell pepper, it wasn't very good. The bell pepper was overpowering. They Sammys are supposed to have cucumbers, but I hate cucumbers, so we will probably swap that out for celery next time. Also, this was supposed to have tomatoes, which would make it better. Adjusted, I think this could probably be a 4 out of 5 with some tweaks.
