 We had Cherry Pecan Granola Bars from the Forks Over Knives cookbook for breakfast this morning.  If you're thinking that doesn't look like a granola bar, you'd be correct.  It sure doesn't, does it?  Well, it doesn't really make a bar.  It does, however, make pretty good granola.  This was pretty tasty.  I would rate it a 4 out of 5.  So I'm going to call it Cherry Pecan Granola.




For dinner tonight we had Pad Thai & Stir-Fried Vegetables with Miso and Sake, also from the Forks Over Knives cookbook.  The Pad Thai wasn't bad.  No peanut butter, which was disappointing.  I would rate it a 3 or 4 out of 5.  The Stir-Fried veg-e-tables as Joe Carchioni used to say, were not that great.  Megan did a lovely job of cooking them al dente, but the sake was sour.  There are better things to make wine out of than rice.  I would rate this a 2 out of 5.
