Tonight we had Tamale Pie for dinner.  It was pretty good.  I thought the topping worked well with it.  It was just shy of being really good.  It was missing...something.  Depth of flavor perhaps?  I'm not sure what I would add to it to give it that.  I think next time I'll nix the kidney beans and use a combination of pintos and black beans instead.  4 out of 5.
