Our breakfast this morning was Nutritarian Granola. Megan and I both liked it. I could eat this several times a week. It tasted pretty similar to regular granola. It had a banana and an apple in it that you food process. Then you cook everything for 30 minutes. I usually don't like cooked bananas but I couldn't even taste the banana.

At my weigh in today I weighed 240.8 lbs. Next week I will break the 240 lb. barrier! That will be a big achievement for me. I haven't been below 240 lbs in in more than four years (Feb. 2013). I lost 2.9 lbs this week and that was after going to a friend's house for dinner on Wednesday and having Rib-eye steak with potatoes (it was wonderful!). My fat mass was 85.8 lbs (down from 95 lbs) and my BMI was 33 (down from 34). I think the big changes in BMI and fat mass are due to exercising. I started exercising this week. I went swimming twice and used my recumbent elliptical machine 4 times for 10 minutes each time. I will increase the amount of exercise as I can, but I think it is already starting to pay off. I'm very happy with the results I'm getting.


Our dinner tonight was Mushroom, Onion, and Pesto Pizza. Pesto should have basil in it. This didn't. I hate it when recipes claim to me something they are not and this one definitely fit that category. To make matters worse, it didn't taste like pesto either. Megan tried adding some basil and this didn't help. It had weird flavors. Neither one of us liked it much. I wouldn't make it again.
