Eat to Live, Week 6, Day 6
This was part of our dinner. It is called Herbed White Bean Humus. It wasn't bad, but a bit gritty. It needed to be blended more. We also added some roasted garlic to it and that made it better. I'm finding that I like the red peppers the best. They seem to be sweeter.
This was our dinner tonight. The picture above is of Black Forest Cream of Mushroom Soup. The lower picture is steamed snap peas. The soup was pretty good but too sweet, probably due to the 5 cups of carrot juice. I think I would cut it back next time. We could also add some red pepper or curry powder to give it more depth. The steamed snap peas were wonderful. They had an almost buttery texture to them and were sweet but not overpoweringly so, like the soup.
