Eat to Live, Week 5, Day 1
I lost 2.9 lbs in the last week. I'm now down to 248.4 lbs, below 250 finally! I've lost a total of 16.3 lbs in 4 weeks! I'm averaging about 4 lbs per week, but I'm sure that will go down as I continue to lose weight. My BMI is at 34.8, a drop of 0.4 since last week. My fat mass is at 101.3 lbs, a drop of 8 lbs in the past week. I'm very happy with the amount I've been able to lose in such a short time.
I wasn't sure how much weight I would lose this week for two reasons. First, Megan and I took the night off on Saturday and I had a nice steak dinner and dessert. That had to add some weight. Second, I've been sick all week (but haven't lost my appetite sadly), so I figured I was probably eating a little more since I have been feeling lousy all week.
For breakfast this morning we had Cantaloupe, Strawberries, and Orange sprinkled with ground flax seeds. It was good.
For lunch we had two things. Avocado, Corn and Pumpkin Seed Salsa with Baked Garlic Pita Chips (picture above) and Baja Mango Black Bean Lettuce Wraps (picture below). I really like both the salsa and the pita chips. The pita chips are made out of pita bread broiled for a few minutes. I like them much better than the kind you buy in the store. Both crunchy and chewy. The salsa is really good! The lettuce wraps weren't very good. Kind of soapy/bland tasting. I wouldn't have them again.
Dinner tonight was No Pasta Vegetable Lasagna. You can see what it looks like below.
It was AWFUL! Inedible in my opinion. It was a lot of work to make and tasted terrible! I'm finding that a lot of these dishes that try to be fake versions of fattening food are just not very good. They don't taste like the fattening food even remotely. I've had zucchini vegetable lasagna and it wasn't like the real thing, but it was edible. This I could barely keep down and I had to stop after just a few bites.
